I brought my dog in who HATES getting his shots. The vet tech was great with him and so was the doctor. He was very nice and caring and even gave my dog some treats! I recommend Dr. Matar for all your animal needs.

I came across this veterinary clinic while searching for reviews for the clinic I was planning on taking my dog to for surgery.
I'm glad I did the research....I decided to have my dog's surgery done at this clinic instead, because of the great reviews and because almost every review spoke of the cleanliness of the clinic. I have heard many horror stories of staff infections picked up at clinics where cleanliness isn't up to par.
When I called to ask questions and to schedule my Krystle's appointment I was nervous because she's my baby and she needs surgery...but after the phone call I felt very at ease,well informed and I was very impressed with the professionalism and the obvious compassion for animals (and people)that the receptionist had.
Surgery for our fur babies is never easy....but feeling confident that she's going to get the best care (and at a very reasonable price)makes things easier.
If the vet is as great as his staff....and the reviews say he is....I know Krystle will be in the best of hands.

Yesterday evening I brought my dog in for a large lump that ended up being a hernia.
My dog hates being in the car.I drive down from Racine....a 45 minute drive.It was stressful for my dog and for me.
My dog LOVED Dr.Matar.
He was so good with my dog. He talked to him, petted him and gave him treats.
My dog was so relaxed that he sat and looked out the window the whole way home.
I cannot thank this Vet enough.
This Veterinary Hospital has great prices,friendly staff and a competent, compassionate vet.

I simply cannot say enough good things about this veterinarian,his clinic and staff.
He repaired my dog's hernia in February and not only did he do a great job with the repair, he also did a great job with the suturing.
What stands out the most with this clinic is Dr. Matar's professionalism, his love of animals, his dedication to his client's pet's health, the cleanliness of his clinic and the friendliness of his staff.
I drive from Racine to bring my dogs to him.
I came because of the low cost but I stayed because Dr. Matar is the BEST.
I HIGHLY recommend him.

I posted about the appointment where the exam was performed and he was diagnosed with the hernia.....but noticed my testimonial about his surgery after the surgery took place, didn't post.....so I decided to write a new one.
I want everyone to know how fantastic Dr. Matar is.
Our fur babies deserve the best care.

We rushed our Baby Seras in, and within minutes we had a sad diagnosis, the vet techs even offered to help me google it so I can research myself, they were honest, truthful. They put us in the back so we were allowed to spend our last moments with her, until her time came.
In the rush to get her to the hospital we forgot her favorite blanket (my old shirt of course) In the following days after she past, we were able to not only bring her blanket in, but put it on her properly as we always had, So she wouldnt be scared of the thunder storms that were coming and that she would be with her favorite blanket.
We came here because we have personally had LakeVilla,FoxLake and Grayslake out right lie to us, make basic level mistakes that have cost our pets great harm or death in the past, and this is the only place we as a family feel safe bringing them.
Its not a Billion Dollar Corporation, its not a Million Dollar Business and I would argue its barely a 100k Buisness, Its a community Local vet that gets by just enough to be profitable. They're Honest when they dont know, They're Caring enough to sit with your pet while they do paper work so they're not stuck in a cage.
And in our recent case, With our little Seras, My little 'MiMi' were swift enough so that instead of spending our babies final moments in a panic, in confusion or frustration, We were able to spend it with her, as we always have, loving her until the end.
